Petta - box office: Rajinikanth film is worldwide blockbust

Petta, Rajinikanth and Director Karthik Subbaraj's film has turned out to be a huge hit at the box office. The film is continuing its dream run across the world, Mainly the Tamil version.

Karthik Subbaraj who is a new young director and a huge fan of Rajinikanth, has kept his word and delivered what he promised - a satisfying vintage Rajinikanth movie. Superstar fans seem to be happy with Petta.

Petta, according to the producer Sun Pictures, crossed Rs 100-crore mark in Tamil Nadu box office in eleven days. The production house claimed that the film is the first one to cross the mark in such a short span. On the other hand, the distributors of Viswasam claimed that their film has earned more than Rs 125 crore in a matter of 8 days which is not supported by data.

Even though there are contradicting box office reports from both the sides, Still trackers are sure that both the films have turned out to be huge hits.

Petta is expected to hit 200 crs worldwide before this weekend.
